Off topic but just a reminder of how screwed up the olympics can be.
In 2008 the Jamaicans beat the Trinidadians for the gold in the 4 by 100 sprint, with all the accolades and sponsorships to follow. In 2016 a blood sample from Nesta Carter, of the Jamaica team found doping. In 2022 the Trinidadian team was awarded their gold at a ceremony in Switzerland.......14 years after they won.

You know, as much as I might disagree with liberals in their mindless disdain for Trump, I can set that aside to some extent and say "maybe some of them are just ignorant, and will one day learn to think for themselves". But what I do not understand is how you can turn your back on your country because you don't like the president. If I had the chance to represent my country while Obama or Biden were president, I'd have done it in a heartbeat. Know why? Because i wouldn't be there to represent the president, I'd be there to compete and represent my country.

I would love to hear the logic of someone criticizing the Trump administration while simultaneously justifying deciding to defend those of the CHICOMS.
Had she run off to the UK or some other bastion of modern globalism I could’ve semi understood it.

As I thought, other than a select few, winter sports athletes dont get sponsorships. I knew she would cash in with the chinese govt (bank of china is the chinese govt).
