This is mainly Wade's fault. That being said, cheating is now legal. Wouldn't be opposed to Wade returning at this point. But you have to fund the program with big NIL dollars.

I believe just changing the HC will draw a little bit of interest. As long as they don’t suck in the non conference.

Woodward extended this misery one more season SOLELY so people wouldn’t try to force him to hire Wade…only to be publicly pantsed by the Governor and fired BEFORE McMahon.

Normally I would say Wade coming back would never happen, but you have to wonder if he would do it in part just to give Woody the finger.

I would love to see a challenging non conference schedule. Look where 4 years of beating up (except that time we lost to Nicholls St. and had to come back to beat Texas Southern) SWAC fodder has gotten us. Fans will show up for exciting matchups.

And with that contract. He is currently making more than NC St is paying Wade. And we're tied to $6 or $7m still after we fire him.
I understand that with the possibility of sanctions looming it would be hard to find a quality coach. But shite. Someone else out there would have taken the job for less. Hire an up and coming assistant from somewhere on a small salary and short term so that when the sanctions are lifted (or dont get handed down) you can get out of the contract and make a better hire. But Scott fricking handcuffed us.

Fan support isn’t an issue. The women are about to put an arse in every seat Saturday night. The product is the problem. Not fan interest.
