McMakin for Congress - Not so fast.

This isn't particularly directed at McMakin but when I read quotes like this:
"The people of our district elected me to serve in the Louisiana House of Representatives, and I am fully committed to continuing that mission. There is still too much unfinished business at the state level and too many important victories still to be won for Baton Rouge and our capital region."
it usually seems to mean they floated their name out there as a possible candidate and the response was less than enthusiastic.

1000%.
The press release should have read "Since it appears I will only get 2.1% of the vote, I am going to go ahead and back out now"

He comes across as a bit obnoxious in public. I like a lot of what he stands for but he could tone things down.

It means he got in before Miguez did and saw he was not ever going to win.
Funny how that “I need to stay a state rep to serve my constituents” stuff didn’t matter three weeks ago when he announced

I couldn't stop laughing when I saw him throw his hat in the ring. Even daddy doesn't have enough money to get that clown elected to Congress!

Wasn’t he the one that tried to push through the bill that college athletes don’t have to pay taxes on NIL funds

It’s really progressive that you use their pronouns

Absolutely should not be the voice of Tiger Stadium.

He’s not NEARLY as popular as he thinks he is.
Go sit down kid, the adults are speaking.

Yes and people like the two downvoters are the people who don't realize it.
