... Which is the most in 8 yrs and allowed pressures on 33% of Maye's pass attempts in the Super Bowl.
Seems like a nice kid, but damn.

This needs to be his rock bottom to humble him and then turn it into motivation to try and be the best LT in the league. Still pulling for ole Will, that baw will forever be a Tiger, hate to see him have such a horrible game which so happened to be the most important game of his life.

I go back to his “we don’t care who you are we’re gonna run the ball on you” and then proceeded to not run the ball on anyone his last year. Your all pro top five pick didn’t play like it for most of that season. Many blamed it on coaching. He’s looked a lot more like that guy in the league than he has his draft position. Especially in the playoffs.
So hopefully he understands it’s going to require more effort and gets it figured out.

He’s not ready for the biggest level yet, but he’s a rookie. People shouldn’t say the gap between the NFL and college is huge, and then act like a guy is a bust because he isn’t good as a rookie.

Rookie struggles coming off an injury on the biggest stage in football
Shocked I tell ya
I do wonder if he would’ve been shut down if the Patriots weren’t making the playoffs

Incredibly weak jaw for an offensive lineman

32 3/8 inch arms… ideal 34+ … bare minimum 33 usually… sometime the science the science… only thing overcomes it is perfect technique… but even perfect technique can be overcame by a good(not great) pass rusher…

People keep saying he should play guard but he looks so weak I can't see him playing well there either

How many rookie Left Tackles have been in the Super Bowl?
This feels like the premature victory lap that people took on Stingley with the Texans.
I think the rookie will get better…

Campbell didn't play this past season and LSU's OL was entirely new from 2024...and they still couldn't run the ball. What's more likely 10, 11, 12 offensively lineman ALL sucked at run blocking? Or the approach to the running game by the coaching staff was flat out awful? Listen to Jacob Hester in the mornings. He toed the line a bit because he works for LSU (radio) and wants to still have a good relationship with LSU, but he "suggested" many times the offensive approach, especially towards the running game, was horrible and that no RB could have much success in what LSU was trying to do.
Yes, that comment seemed bad after one game in 2024...but when LSU struggled to run the ball for the next 20+ games after that, including many where Campbell wasn't playing, it became pretty clear it wasn't just the OL.
LSU is going to be a good rushing team next season. And it won't soley be because the OL magically go that much better. It will be because LSU has a great offensive coach who KNOWS how to scheme a running game.

He has the same poor technique that he had at LSU. He got away with it a little more in college but not as often as some of yall think. He has to stop playing so high. 3 point stance was pretty non-existent last night. He also can’t square off and face the sidelines. Stay straight towards dline. He’s unfortunately just helping them beat him play after play. Needs a true technician of a coach, and obviously Brad Davis wasn’t it. Still wanna root for the guy though. He’s got some work (and I’m sure rehab to be fair) to do this offseason

6-6, 320 specimen, highly regarded draft choice...was totally steamrolled? And why?
Did NOT watch the game, but this guy tries to break down Will Campbell's problems:
In Campbell's defense he was ill-prepared. ZERO technique, terrible footwork, and he appeared to be too weak physically or mentally. He seemed to have no heart. WAS he hurt?
The Pats entire O-Line and their pass-blocking schemes seem to be over-matched and chaotic. Gotta put a lot of the blame on the Offensive coaching staff -- especially the O-Line coaches.
Once Campbell started getting beat badly and conspicuously, he needed replacement OR TE help. Or in-game adjustments.
Were no play-calling screens and dump-offs roll outs and trap-plays called to slow that down? The Pats weren't facing the Mean Joe Green's or the '85 Bears D-Lines. Terrible Game Plan job by the entire Patriots coaching staff.

Bummer to see him struggle, but he definitely didn't look very good. Of course he's a rook, and will get better.
He doesn't seem to anchor well against NFL guys. I think he got away with it in college, but will need to improve his base and footwork to overcome his arm length issue. He gets his upper body outside of his base too often and gets knocked off balance or pushed back seemingly pretty easily for NFL pass rushers.
His top 2 priorities during the off season will be
1. More strength built in the weight room and not relying on his natural size and strength which all NFL players possess. I have no idea if he's a big workout/weight room guy or not, but he definitely will need to be this off season.
2. Better footwork to improve his ability to be stable over his base. He needs to anchor better against bull rushes and club and rip techniques.
