The NFL Chose to Focus on Hispanic Populations, and Away from Traditional Conservatives

I have seen weeks of outrage and confusion on the Bad Bunny choice, but it was always crystal clear to me:
The NFL’s choice to have Bad Bunny perform at halftime, in a dress, entirely in a foreign language, is proof to Conservatives that the NFL consciously does not care about losing their viewership, because:
1. They make up a negligible part of the revenue stream (more importantly the projected revenue stream over the next 10-20 years).
and/or
2. They don’t believe Conservatives will actually tune out/stop spending money on the NFL.
Many of my friends “boycotted” the halftime show, but tuned into every second of each half. The NFL obviously did a risk assessment and decided they don’t care about losing the small group that tuned into the Turning Point show (or didn’t watch anything for 30 min.)
The future of revenue is in Spanish speaking communities. Caucasians (the majority of Conservative voices) are already a minority in 8 of the 50 states, and will be a minority in 34 of the states within one more generation.
Goodell is playing the long game.

Outside of this board I've never heard of anyone boycotting the halftime show to "hurt the NFL" Only to maybe help TPUSA, or just watch a show they'd more prefer.
ETA: I don't know real life people, outside this board, who've actually boycotted the NFL.

Congratulations on the big W.
If this is the case, then is really necessary to keep call them racists? Seems like real racists would keep this from happening, no?

He’s making a bet.
He lost on my household last night because we tuned in for all of 30 seconds after tuning away for halftime.

They've been saying this for 50 years, right about when they started saying Texas is going blue.

The NFL panders to the uneducated

Goodell’s primary line of effort in his 2025 business strategy was to grow Hispanic/spanish speaking fans. That’s what where they see the money being spent over the next generation.

In that case, as a minority we need to form groups and organizations to promote our interests.
Anybody have any suggestions?

I didn't watch the SB or the TPUSA halftime show. But the NFL can kick rocks as far as I'm concerned over this non-English BS

The one bright spot with this is what they're going to do to useful idiots like you once that happens.

NFL is king because people like the game of football. Whatever happens at halftime doesn’t change that. The outrage and coverage over this is so overblown it’s not even funny. The NFL and the Super Bowl will both continue to be the most watched programming in the country.

Do you have to lie to make your point?

The NFL is trying to be the WNBA. We'll see how well that works in the long run.

Well, yeah that's because we are a country of sheep. Not real men that spend all day trading sophomoric insults on this bastion of truth and virtue, which you are defiling with your very presence.

Traditional Conservatives
Unfortunately are dying. It's dying out.
It sucks but that's the truth. Anything that remains conservative without considering something that is progressive in some ways to replace a portion of it is doomed to die eventually.
That's the nature of conservatism. Not necessarily talking politics but social norms and culture more than anything.
Anything that was considered conservative 100 years ago has mostly died out.
Just the way it is.
