Here's the deal with Bad Bunny...

Reggaeton is...and has always been...about the shittiest genre there is. It's entirely unlistenable.
I actually have no idea if BB is good or bad it. My main comment from the Super Bowl - especially the first song - is that it was as cookie cutter, boilerplate and non-novel as was humanly possible. Like, if you had told me to come up with my own reggaeton song, it would have sounded just like that. Seriously, what is the appeal?
It could have come from anytime in the past x number of years. Nothing cutting edge or inventive. Just pure dreck.

The music wasn't for me (but it rarely ever is)... The choreography and the "show" was impressive to pull off...
I had no problems with it...

Breaking: Low IQ people listen to low IQ music.
News at 11.
It's basically background music you hear at a Mexican food restaurant.

You could say this about country music as well.

Most country music for sure. It's a pretty broad category.

Reggaeton fans would probably say the same thing about rock or country. Different people like different things.

Of course. But all music is not equal. There is music I don't personally like, but I can respect because I can recognize the quality of the musicianship, the writing and the production.
Reggaeton is dumbed-down brain-rot for a low IQ fanbase. I feel the same about most rap, pop and pop-country.

I actually thought it was decent and way better than Maroon 5 or whatever that was last year.
I'm amazed at the outcry. But then again, everybody always complains about it. I guess if he had something to shake like J-lo or Shikira, it's fine.

Broadly generalizing music is for low IQ individuals.

80 percent of reggaeton music contains the exact same beat. That's not me generalizing. That's a fact.
From Wiki:
If that's not dumbed down music, I'm not sure what is.

Reggaeton
At its heart is the 3+3+2 (tresillo) rhythm, complemented by a bass drum in 4/4 time ... To this day, elements of the song's accompaniment track are found in over 80% of all reggaeton productions

I didn't watch and have never heard any of hir/her/its music, but I imagine it's like a lot of current music in that it's simplistic enough that people with virtually no talent can become somewhat famous, For a little while at least.

This halftime show, IMO, was a degradation of Hispanic culture. It looked like 16 year old hookers dancing with a guy that had a fake “bump” in his pants. I’d be highly insulted if I were Hispanic

Of all the Musicians he was a DUMB choice

Too easy.
Nearly a majority (about 40 percent) of all pop music hits are written or produced by a small group of people. There are just a few writers and producers who are churning out almost all the top 40 music.
Again, mass produced slop.
