They perceive themselves as more intelligent, more compassionate and more enlightened. You and I are but rubes on the back of the potato truck in their mind.

The same thing millions and millions of other people gain from politics these days......an identity.

They hate God and think they are wiser and more compassionate than Him

They see themselves as the good guys fighting against white supremacy and the patriarchy. Logic and reason will never be a factor because no matter what either side does, they can’t side with hateful oppressors.

That’s your average democrat walking around in the real world. But there are many in leadership that know better. They’re the ones fabricating the storylines to manipulate the masses. They are truly evil.

Virtue points!

200 virtue points you get big glasses
300 pink hair dye
400 a septum ring
500 a Pokemon tattoo

All this shite just automatically comes in the mail from USAID.

It starts with social acceptance and compassion. That's the gateway drug.

It’s an internalized narcissism and toxic empathy. My political views are virtuous, therefore forcing them on society, or falling on my ideological sword before the battle is won, is more important than real incremental reform. They are revolutionaries unwilling to revolt…Always losing.

Look at Massholes for example. It’s the same phenomenon.

An aura of transcendence, a sanctimonious attitude and a smug and undeserved sense of moral and intellectual superiority. Also, usually, a few extra pronouns on their LinkedIn.

Other than that, nothing.
