If requiring an ID to vote is racist, then requiring an ID for any reason is racist

There are no IDs on stolen land

There are no borders on stolen land. No human is illegal.
Anyone should be allowed to vote in our election, no matter how old they are or where in the planet they live.

Sounds like you Texans need to vote this guy in.

Damn right. I should absolutely be allowed access to all federal buildings without needing an ID.

I never thought I’d come across an idea as ridiculously dumb and incredibly stupid as flat-earthers, but this whole “voter ID is racist” argument brings us right up there with it. I just can’t wrap my head around the mindset.
The only thing I understand about it is that people think this way because they’re parroting what the tribe is saying. Nothing more, nothing less.

No one has actually made that argument, but the onerous requirements of the SAVE Act could make it more difficult for many Americans of any race
to obtain an ID, but it may impact some groups more than others.
Don’t know whether I have a copy of my birth certificate in the house, and my passport is stashed somewhere currently unknown to me. I assume I could get it all together, but I’ve been able to walk a few blocks to my precinct polling place with my drivers license and vote for years. They cross check the drivers license against printed voter rolls, and I Vote. There is no fraud.
My only problem now is partial paralysis from the stroke, but I don’t need any additional complication.
There is no racist history connected with driver’s licenses, but there is with voting,
Besides, comparing the right to vote to something like a fishing license is nonsense…

You had a stroke? So sorry to hear that. When TF did this happen?

Or liberal white women and the people that decide to follow them.
Don’t act like you’re not tribal. I don’t post here, but you’re an absolute parrot yourself.

No one has actually made that argument
Schumer is out on the trail calling it "Jim Crow 2.0"
Did nobody claim "Jim Crow" laws were racist.?? seems I remember a few - every elections somebody drags out a comparison to "Jim Crow"
It is a direct insult to any black American citizen to be talked to that way - it shows utter contempt for their intelligence and character.
of course Democrats are the last true racists in America - other than Muslims.
Democrats are trying to initiate a new civil war hoping to win one.

I need a rental scan to get on a plane. Why not do the same for voting? Is flying racist?

Rural folks can't get IDs because there's no Kinkos near them

The proper analogy is buying a gun. A right specifically guaranteed to U. S. citizens by the U. S. Constitution.

This ia a bald-faced lie and you know it.

The idea of a voter ID being racist is silly. But I shouldn't have to purchase something to vote. Seems like it could be argued it is a type of poll tax?
I have no issue showing my ID to vote. I've done it every time I have voted. Would you object to voter IDs being issued for free?
