This entire situation started after Pearce Jr. allegedly stalked his ex from his car and tried to get into her car at an intersection, I'm told.
She sped away, but he still continued to go after her.
SLATER SCOOP: James Pearce Jr. is accused of intentionally crashing his Lamborghini into his ex-girlfriend’s car multiple times, trying to stop her from getting to a police station, law-enforcement sources tell me.

That alleged incident led to cops chasing the NFL star.

SLATER SCOOP: Pearce Jr. also intentionally drove into a police officer, hitting the cop's knee in an effort to get away, I'm told.

The Atlanta Falcons linebacker is "lucky to be alive" after that, a high-ranking police source tells me.

It’s one of the reasons he dropped in the draft. Word was he’s pretty crazy.

Yup super talented but not someone that could be relied on, much like Rueben Foster (who also played an unsustainable style).

I'm no lawyer but he should get life in prison with no chance of parole.

Apparently he tried to run over a police officer. Not sure why they didn’t charge him with attempted murder. They could have lit his arse up like they did that girl in Minnesota.

A lot of teams didn’t even have him on their draft board. There were a bunch of people here who wanted to draft him. The falcons not only felt the same way but felt so strongly they traded a future first to move up and take him. I honestly can’t think of a franchise in this division or league who are in as bad of a spot as they are. They have a very talented team all around but have no qb and no picks. They’re just good enough to not be picking in the top 5.

First degree felony battery with a deadly weapon on a police officer might as well be attempted murder. Looking at a long sentence if convicted for that.
