No reason we don’t give him a deal now to lock him up. He is a legit player and might be the second or third best on this team.

As fricking annoying as the Jordan Poole trade, keeping Bey will be fundamental moving forward.

Just start calling it the Bey trade and it’s not bad.

He's been my favorite all year. I would like them to give him a similar deal as Jones. I think they are both really good 7th or 8th men on a good roster. Neither should be starters. But they are solid role players.

Bey is a starter on nearly every team in the association. The man is a brick house who does every thing right. Very versatile and he’s a hustle player. We just have to get rid of Poole’s expiring contract and then somehow Dumars was playing 4D chess.

Don’t tell Joe this. He will cut or trade him. Don’t doubt him.

No. I don't believe this. He's borderline and can start in stretches. But he's too inconsistent to be an every game starter. I think he's awesome and he can play 2-3 positions, which makes him tremendous asset. But he, like Jones, shouldn't be a starter.

That's how you should describe a bench player or a rotational guy.

Yeah, he’s probably take a 2nd for him in a heartbeat.

That was true at the beginning of the season, but there's nothing inconsistent about him now. He's gotten much better as the season has progressed, which makes sense for a 26-year-old man who hadn't played basketball in 18 months.

Is he a top 30 wing or forward in the league?

We supposedly already have two top 20 of both, in Zion and Murphy. How are we losing if we are so loaded?

What does that even mean? The guy startes 77% of games in his career. Why does he need to be a top 30 wing to be a starter? There are usually multiple wings in a starting 5.

So should Draymond Green be a bench player based on your logic?

Yes, for bad teams, including ours.

You are making me try to diminish or criticize Bey, when that isn't my intention. I like him a lot and want him on our team. He's just not a starter IMO. He's not a stand out in any particular aspect of his game. He's just solid, in most aspects.

If I'm wrong, then you believe he's a starter for us going forward. Is that right?

Right. We are starting 4 right now, which is just dumb. But whatever. It's out of necessity mostly so I'm that upset. Its not a good plan though and shouldn't be happening.
