Never been past the second round.

Only one of 2 team in league to never pay luxury tax.

Baron David Demands Trade

Dan Dikau, Jackson Vroman, Arvydas Matsuwhateverkas

Oklahoma City

Drafted Chris Paul. Win one playoff series. Height of franchise. Trade Tyson Chandler for Emeka Okafor (a bust) to save money.

League ownership

Chris Paul demand trade

The veto.

Cash Considerations

Horse Lady

Hilton Armstrong

Draft Anthony Davis. “Generational Talent”

Waste Davis. Won nothing for years. Win one playoff series

Anthony Davis demands trade. That’s all folks

Acquire “war chest”

Draft Zion Williamson, generational talent

Squander war chest

Zion never even plays in a playoff series

Hire friend that hasn’t had a head job in 20 years without conducting any interviews

Name horse after him

Generational draft coming up…trade what could be the first two picks in one of the best drafts of all time to the entire league’s shock then laughter

“We are a playoff team”

Win 13 games after winning 21 the year before

Make no moves of consequence

“We are a playoff team”

Worst Arena in entire league

All promotions cancelled quietly, quiet quit on the entire fanbase

If you haven’t given up yet seek mental help.

I think I gave up even before they hired Dumars, that just confirmed suspicions for me

Shinn was a shitty and cheap owner, but at least he seemed to partially care; now, with Gayle, there's just a shitty, cheap owner

Excellent history lesson and recap on the dire situation where moving is the only solution.

Reminder the same owner has the Saints, and in spite of the understandable Shough euphoria ultimately the fate of the Saints will be the same. There is no fix for an incompetent owner and they lead to the same place….the teams must be sold.

Dumars was really the end for me.

People tried to rationalize it but it was one of the worst hires ever.

Ditka-Saints level bad. And like Ditka, immediately makes an insane trade.

Dumars is Avery bad GM. Weaver and Dumars unqualified son have run a bad franchise into the ground. We were awful before. Now we’re beyond repair.

the dumars hire just proved how unserious this franchise is, other than a NOLA connection the hire made absolutely no logical sense. Retaining Willie on top of it only compounded the stupidity of it all

Vehemently disagree with this. We had good teams around him. He's made of glass and boogie pops his achilles. Biggest what if for this franchise ever.

Zion is like number five of this team’s current problems.

He is the catalyst to how we got here because I think if he was who we thought he was, Griff survives and does a decent job.

But as of today, the buck starts and stops with Gayle and Dumars. They are way out of their depth.

The Saints will always be the priority. THe Bensons deserve credit for saving basketball but now is the time to sell the team to Todd Graves

Probably don't agree here at this point. The Saints they do want to win in addition to making money.

The Pelicans they do not give a singular frick about winning.

Also I forgot to add:

Wanting to win and thinking Gayle has the acumen to deliver are two different things.

Had Shough performed like most thought (like recent Saints qb picks Rattler, Haener, Book, etc) the Saints would be getting the same despair posts. Let’s not celebrate drafting 8.

Yeah I had pretty much given up but then the Dumars thing happened (which I had fought against going back a decade) and it was so laughably over for me.

They had my eyebrow perk up for about 30 seconds during the 5 game win streak but that was crushed pretty quickly.

Dumars is truly one of the more inexplicably bad hires in recent NBA history.

Not only is he a dinosaur who hadn't had success in two decades, he hires a total flunky in Weaver who then proceeds to get castoffs from one of the worst teams in the league.

I believe Weaver is something like 74-244 as a GM.

Look at Detroit and Washington once he's left.

Detroit is a top team in the East.

Washington was making some smart moves before the AD trade.

Don't forget about after making all these mind-blowingly dumb moves, Weaver and Dumars being absolutely nowhere to be found to explain themselves. But other than that, you're right on the money about everything else.
