No offense, but The Passion is much better than The Chosen. When a religious film is so good that it even attracts acclaim from secular filmgoers, that’s when you know you’ve made a damn good film. Mel was a genius.
I’m not religious in the slightest bit and I thought it was one of the best films from the 2000s. Every single film shot was like a Caravaggio painting. The film made you feel like you stepped into a time portal and went back to the Middle East in the first century. No other Jesus film has captured that feeling.

They are two totally different product. The Passion of the Christ covers Jesus final 12 hours. And is a film.
The Chosen covers the Disciples lives and Jesus effect on their lives... and is a TV show.
They aren't supposed to be the same.
