Should Lane invest in our second tier of LA colleges for recruiting?

Could / Should Lane invest in ULL, McNeese, Nichols, LATech, Southeastern, and Tulane relationships to use them like farm teams?
-or-
Do those schools have bad blood with LSU that runs deeper and wont ever really work with us?

Define "Invest". Like LSU host camps and allow all instate teams to attend to create "Super Camps"? Absolutely. More kids will come that will never get an offer from LSU. Big Ty George actually earned his Tulane offer at LSU camp. He ended up the #10 IOL in the nation this year and is definitely someone that could end up at LSU.

I saw Moscona with Marshall Faulk and it made me start going down this line of thinking.
Jones OL came from Nicholls
James CB came from Southern

Cool idea!
I was thinking "invest" like how coaches invest time with High School coaches around the state. With the portal it opens up the other universities also if they can find a way to make it mutually beneficial.

I dont think ULL, ULM, or Tulane would be interested at all. They are all trying to competet to get to the CFP. They aren't gonna usher their best players to LSU.
Now Mcneese, Nicholls and Southeatsern are different stories. Maybe LSU can help out their NIL funds to get a few HS kids they wouldn't normally get. These kids go to the smaller school, play right away and develop for a year or two and then LSU gets first choice on who they want. Its a win, win. The smaller school gets a HS player above their normal caliber of athlete for a year or 2 and then LSU gets to use them once they are developed.
Do I think an arrangement like this will ever happen? No, absolutely not. But I do think it could be beneficial to all parties involved.

Makes since to me. Let some of their freshmen transfer there, then bring them back a couple years later. There’s no experience like playing time, and they won’t get that playing on the third string at LSU.

While "farm teams" seems like a good idea, it is only valid for teams that recruit locally/regionally. A national program like LSU has no need for this setup. What is worth considering is partnerships with JUCOs for a sign and place kind of deal. You build relationships with lower recruited kids, encourage them to enroll with your partner JUCOs, then if they improve, sign them later with full eligibility.

Starting a JUCO team at LSUE or BRCC or an NAIA program at LSUA or LSUS is more plausible.
