Heard earlier that Kash was on his way to AZ… Does anyone here believe that if it was their mom missing the FBI director would be on the ground? Would the president be directing all resources to the investigation?! I don’t and I don’t believe the big networks would give a frick either.. The only reason this is a story is because her daughter is on tv. I’m not trying to be cruel, but why should I care when I know the same outpouring of resources would not be bestowed upon my mother?

Pretty sure Trump wouldn't direct all available resources to your mom though....or any of ours.

Just to be clear I’m not annoyed at the mom or the fact that she’s missing. I’m annoyed because my mother would get no such special treatment from the FBI. Kash Patel certainly wouldn’t swing by either.

Life isn't fair.
I would like to think that were any of us "special" that we would accept any and all help that we received if any of our own families were in trouble.
It's not something I'd hold against anyone.

But it would be different. It’s stupid for the FBI director to be focusing on a case that is different only because it involves a famous person. That is two-tiered justice, and it is reprehensible. Go focus on the nation’s problems, Mr Kash.

Trump cares about what the media says about him.
This is for good PR even though they’ll still hate him.
We have bigger issues, but Kash sucks anyway so he’ll probably screw it up, if possible.
I don’t even know who this person is really, but I hope her mother is found safe.

But it is a strange crime. Abduction, busted door cams, blood on the entryway, busted back door? Not typical. So this is not a run of the mill crime. And, the Feds quickly solving this is good PR. We could laud our FBI. Good move by Trump. And this could turn out stranger than we can imagine. I mean what if someone forcibly abducted your 84 year old mom?

- I question whether the administration would do this if they didn't think she was potentially alive.
- I think this is a low hanging fruit chance in Trump's mind and he loves stuff like this. I don't mean that cynically, but I think Trump is always going to jump at the chance to be hero in anything high profile (hostage recovery, so forth).
- I definitely think the illegal immigrant potential is playing into it, although I suspect Trump would do it regardless of that if he thought she was alive and he could take credit for her return.

Because this is in the public psyche. My wife is extremely interested in this, and I'd say most women gravitate to this story as it causes them angst. And law enforcement is just as much psychological as it is tangible.

Whether you see this as a nice gesture or Trump inserting himself for attention, I’m not sure how the FBI can get involved unless this is more than a state criminal matter.
