The 2026 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXV Winter Olympic Games and commonly called Milano Cortina 2026, will take place from February 6 to February 22, 2026, across sites in Lombardy and Northeast Italy.
The Games were awarded on June 24, 2019, to a joint bid by Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, defeating a bid from Stockholm and Åre. They will be the first Olympics officially co hosted by two cities, with Milan hosting most ice events and other competitions held around Cortina and the Valtellina and Fiemme valleys.
These Games will be Italy’s third Winter Olympics and fourth Olympics overall, following Cortina d'Ampezzo’s hosting of the 1956 Winter Games. They will also introduce ski mountaineering as a new Olympic sport and will be the first Olympics held under IOC president Kirsty Coventry.

The greatest Coaching Changes board in TD history was retired, so that the Winter Olympics board may blossom.

Thank God it's time for the Winter Games!
O/U on the number of figure skating stories about the DC plane collision? (I'm all for it if it takes time from Tara and her queer cross dressing buddy.)

How do yall plan watch the live events? Specifically for events not on TV. Peacock wants you to purchase a $12/mo subscription.
I used to download an NBC Olympics app in the past, but I think that’s subscription based now.

I have Peacock. Just take the $12 hit for this month then cancel. Small price to have two weeks of non-stop Olympics coverage consolidated in one place.

It’s more principle than money, too many damn subscriptions!
Did a little research, and most US events are on USA, which I have.

I thought Samuel L. Jackson was leaving the USA. I guess money talks.

Israel got booed. Seems we sort of were too but hard to tell since it seems the broadcast tried to tune out crowd noise with other sounds and cut to US after starting their walk and not right at beginning.
