Just for punishment and spite.
From Minnesota Star Tribune. I don't link MST but even if I did, it's hard paywall.

Seems like an invitation for a fantastic lawsuit

Discrimination much Minny?

This seems like an easy case for a lawyer to claim government persecution.
Normally liquor licenses are only pulled for reasons such as back taxes or serving a minor. Doing so for pure political reasons seems like a slam dunk for an enterprising law firm.

Remind me. Who are the fascists again?

There is no hope for this country in its current form. Our differences are irreconcilable. The best case scenario is a peaceful partition.

I see more hotel chains (and other businesses) ultimately deciding it’s no longer worth doing business in the People’s Republic of Minneapolis.

They didn't pull their license. Licenses are up for renewal and they're delaying that. You should probably change the title or post accurate info.

A Minnesota jury would probably not award any damages and make the hotels pay legal fees.
Injunctive relief would have to be granted by a Minnesota judge and injunctive relief requires showing imminent irreparable harm because it is an extraordinary remedy. Now, I think the hotels could show such harm and, as we all have seen, leftist activist judges have no problem pulling the triggers on TROs and injunctive relief. But it wouldn't surprise me if in this case a Minnesota judge declined to issue injunctive relief purely because of political reasons.

Franchisees aren’t going anywhere.
What may happen is that the national chains pull out if the franchisees violate their agreements due to this shite. And that opens up the state to lawsuits for tortious interference I’m sure.

A case even SFP could win.

Wow. Haven't seen anything that petty since the time that the Trump administration tried to:
- Take away from law offices that had ever opposed him in court...
- Take away Mark Kelly's military pension because he said that soldiers shouldn't follow illegal commands
- Hired an insurance lawyer to be a prosecutor and try to indict James Comey because she had no idea what she was doing.
- Take Jimmy Kimmel off of tv because he was mean to the orange Fuhrer.
- 50 million more things
I think it's great that liberals hit back. Be just as petty as Trump.

Antifa will burn down any Circle K that sells to ICE.

Oh silly me, thanks. I thought they were up to something political and shady. But they're just delaying approval of the liquor licenses, not pulling. That's fine then.
