Knew this was coming. Those programs are a big factor in keeping high achieving, often professional families in NYC. There will be an exodus of professionals with their children and a big chunk of Mamdani's tax base. He's going to run out of other people's money more quickly.

All part of the plan. Make the population dumber and then more dependent on big daddy.

That place is going to be such an amazing spectacle of a complete disaster.

The gimmies who thought they were voting themselves free shite and no worries will be reaching levels of hurt and despair they never dreamed possible.

They deserve everything coming their way.

Idiots.

That’s kinda the point… I guess now everyone can be equally under-educated.

Mamdani should be allowed to impose every single idea he has. He has a mandate. Lets look at the results in a few years and see how it turns out for those idiots.

He was very eloquently speaking about how much salt they put down and all the overtime and extra work they are doing and so proud

And all I could think is - "wait for the budget"

A mandate? With less than a million people voting for him in an election with less than 20% turnout?

He doesn’t have a mandate, but elections have consequences. Let it burn. LINK

That's what whole point. Rob them of any chance at a decent education, then turn around and and sell them more misery. It works every time.

And we're still in the first month.

This is going to be painful for New York. I honestly think it's Momdani's plan to destroy NYC. I just hope that everyone sees this for what it is finally.

ehhhh....not so sure this is a big deal

I'm sure this won't be the only step, but Gifted programs for Kindergarten? Come on now.
