This country so so fricking stupid. How are we going to compete in the global economy when our HS grads think cowboy jesus rode into Jerusalem on a dinosaur?

You are certainly proof that high schools need to do a better job teaching history. You were clearly not educated on the fact that the US became the most powerful country in the world due to the wisdom and leadership of people who believed cowboy Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a dinosaur.
20% of high school kids can't even read, let alone read The Bible. Primarily because teachers are more focused on taking kids to leftist protests, drag queen story time, and teaching them that men can get pregnant. Christianity is much more likely to be a solution than it is to be a problem.

Damn... I remember those days and that same paddle (different school, different enforcer).
As bad as it was, twice as many would be administered when I got home. My father is a 6' 4" marine who best reminded me of Clint Walker in his demeanor. I once jumped out of a second story window... to wait until his [justified] anger subsided.
