He had previously advised Trump on economic policy and almost secured a Fed nomination from the POTUS during his first term.
Warsh has called for regime change ?at the central bank and wants a smaller Fed balance sheet — a goal seemingly at odds with Trump’s preference for looser

Why does there have to be a Fed Chair? Why does there have to be a “Federal Reserve” at all?
The constitution grants permission to Congress to print and coin money.
Why would we outsource that to a private banking conglomerate and pay interest on our money?
We pay $1 Trillion in interest annually on the debt.
This is what the bulk of our income tax pays for… interest on the debt that we shouldn’t have.

It’s a fairly decent pick. This guy was actually kinda hawkish during the 2008 bullshite. His colleagues were actually concerned he wasn’t giving enough thought to deflation risks because of how concerned he was about inflation.
Everything is inherently political, but Warsh strikes me as a chair that will be middle of the road on interest rates.
The fact Trump picked a fed chair that isn’t known for being dovish tells me he aligns with Warsh in other arenas….I’ve heard theories that we’re planning on buying a bunch of btc and then telling countries we will only trade in btc. This would completely frick BRICS countries that are buying up gold to hedge against the dollar.
