Watched it last night. There were a few fun moments. Mamoa is pretty much himself and is the lead. Bautista did a good job of being the more serious foil. Morena Baccarin was limited but as good as always. The kid from Spiderman and Temuera Morrison also limited but decent.
There were some good action scenes but a lot of Bautista fights looked too choreographed. The one man takes on a group shots were kind of laughable. It could have been better and it could have been worse. A decent watch but not much more. It felt like they spent a lot of money but still somehow seemed a bit cheap.

Watched I last night just before bed. It was decent. That one car chase with the helicopter and the fight in the house weee the best action scenes.
Bautista was the better “actor” but mainly bc it seems like Mamoa has played “aquaman” in his last few roles.
One question that never got answered was how did Val know all of that stuff and how to drive like that? Were they trying to set up a sequel?.

Didn't explain that but they showed she could drive and had a badass muscle car when she tore out of Mamoa's place after she packed and left him. As to the banking stuff she said she managed a bank as her job.

I feel as if this is the standard with modern action movies. We need to bring back the 80s, which is the GOAT era of the genre

Mamoa was funny as shite in this. Definitely better than I expected. The Rip and Wrecking Crew both solid straight to streaming movies lately.

watched it Thursday or Friday and you pretty much hit on all my points too. Bautista is tatted now that he looks really dark.
Both leads were fine for two guys I wouldn't miss if they were never in a movie.

Watched it last night. Pretty good. Non stop action. Bruh. Do people in Hawaii say Bruh more than people from kenner?
Anyway good movie for what it was. Kind of movie that ten years ago would have been good in theaters

This and The Rip kind of takes me back to the 80’s and 90’s when it comes to these type of action/comedy movies. Not everything has to be an award winning, highbrow production. There was never anything wrong with these types of movies.

Does Jason Mamoa have a Temeura Morrison rider in his contract?

We thought it was good.

Closed Captioning spelled it "Brah," just like I do.

Big Dave and Mamoa had fantastic chemistry.

I’ve heard bruddah more than bruh any of the times I’ve been in Hawaii. This movie was pretty good for what it was. Like a buddy cop comedy action movie. The intro fight with the Yakuza was great. Momoa and Bautista did well together. Would watch a sequel. If they do another in the future hopefully we get more of Morena Baccarin. She’s a smoke show.

You could ask that question abt every character in the movie.

He was crazy as Hell, but Phil Specter knew music. He could produce it till the cows come home. And the Wrecking Crew, along with the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section (Stax/Atlantic), and the Funk Brothers (Motown) are probably the three greatest studio bands of all time.
