I haven’t been back to Baton Rouge in 30 years. I will be there for 24 hours in February, Does anyone have a suggestion of where I need to eat?

How many “moved out of BR/LA and best decision I’ve ever made” posts are we going to get in this thread?

LMAO, what a pussy this cat is.
There's not a single place in town I won't go, packing or not.

Phil's Oyster Bar, after a few pints at the Bulldog about 100 feet away.

I had to go back for a funeral & for a work trip (yes, a work trip to Baton Rouge) and Elsie's on Government St. was amazing! I have been gone since 2014, and no one is left to die and the work thing is done. I don't suspect I will ever return. But Elsie's is the right answer.

That's on you when you get caught lacking, baw. Clearly you've never been on plank rd when the lead is flying.

Grew up there and graduated from LSU and can honestly say I have never been on plank rd. Don’t even know what’s there to give one a reason to be there.

I usually get by there during my infrequent visits to BR.
