What next for Ron DeSantis? In 2025, the debt increased $2.23 trillion.

At the end of this year, Gov. DeSantis will be term-limited out of his job. What better way to spend his time than by traveling the country, promoting a BBA using Article V? If the American people were made aware that there is a way to force Congress to stop spending this country into bankruptcy, they would demand that their state legislators take action and pass the needed resolutions.

The best way for DeSantis to promote Article V is by running for president. He’d have the bully pulpit and could use it to inform the voters that there really is a way to deal with the debt and with deficit spending.

The timing is almost too perfect. But please Ron, give those white boots back to Nancy Sinatra!!

This is what he was meant to do for AMERICA!!

I think Ron would be best to wait to run until 2032. Either 2 things will happen in 2028, either people will be burnt out on trump and republicans and a democrat will be elected, or trump will have turned things around and he will basically be able to pick who he wants to run out of other candidates like rubio, or vance.

100%

I felt bad because he’s been the best governor in American history but some advisor had him trying to be something he clearly isn’t and will never be.

I’m sure a lot of Americans would be happy with him being the quiet guy who turned Florida into easily the most efficiently run state government in the nation and exploded revenue to the point we are likely going to be able to end property taxes under a certain point on top of having no income tax.

He’s a legend.

Correct. The only person with even a remote shot of beating Vance is Rubio, and that is slim.

Stay back, gain some traction in media and see where you are. If you never regain momentum, make some money and enjoy your life. Or run for Senate.

Ron will not meet the emotional, fighting needs of MAGA in these turbulent times. He holds his own and largely aligns with our ideology, perhaps even more on a personal level than Trump does. But he's just not going to scratch that itch.

Ron is, likely, the best choice to "manage" the United States sensibly.

I was a Ron supporter, I'll probably vote for Vance. But I do think Ron would be an incredible manager for the US, perhaps the best we've had in the modern era.

He is not perfect. However, the bully pulpit of a POTUS run could educate millions of Americans. It is time to use the GOP candidates as "messengers" to educate an ignorant country on what the people can do to take back control of so many issues. For instance, one candidate can scream about lobbyists, while another talks about same day voting and Voter ID.

Of course, one candidate eventually emerges, but the American people will ask for much more out of that particular candidate due to the valid points and ideas presented by the "messengers".

The MSM will lose their mind!!

That seems like something from a forgone era. I don't see national campaigns working like that anymore.

I think he could do far more in media getting this message across than a hopeless presidential campaign.

They call it the "BULLY PULPIT" for a reason. But sure, after the POTUS run, if not serving in a cabinet position, he could spend time on TV, working for the lying media (MSM)!!!!

Ron would've been an incredible "get s*** done" VP under Trump as DJT ran around managing foreign policy and redefining strategic goals. It also would've represented the successful merger of the conservative wing and MAGA populism which could've been a beautiful thing for party cohesion.

Unfortunately the urge to run was too great and the race became too toxic, so I understand why that became impossible. We should all be thankful that the end result was continuity of command for AF/MAGA under JD which is incredibly important so we still ended up in a great place moving forward.

That said we need to find a spot for DeSantis to have a major role moving forward. I wish he could run for another term, but he is far too talented and effective to just be sitting on the sidelines when he's out as governor. Maybe VP under Vance? I was shocked when he didn't position himself to run for Senate but time will tell.

Ron was never going to be in consideration for the VP spot, ever.

Ultimately it doesn't matter. He ran, he failed, that time is over.

It will be Vance and Rubio with Vance way way way ahead to start.

Stay back, get your message out by doing media and making some money.

Vance will certainly need help and Ron DeSantis has the resume regarding budget control.

FL Politics: Trump Talks DeSantis for VP
I really think Trump wanted him as VP early to make the primary easier, but the GOPe donors were already in his ear as of late 2023 with promises of huge war chests to run to take the party back from MAGA.

I support Ron over Vance in 2028 because he has more executive experience. He also isn’t part of the current administration so they can’t try and put that angle on him.

This is great. Hopefully he can make a difference. I've posted in these threads dozens of times that I don't understand why an Article V COS is not a focus of the American Right. It is the tool the founders gave the people to fix the precise situation we find ourselves in w/r/t an out of control federal government.

Probably the Globalists who convinced him to run against Trump in 2024 because they convinced him Trump would be convicted and have to drop out.

Hopefully he learned who not to listen to.
