Looks like Poboy Express 2.0

Inside photos. Looks like they put lipstick on the old Burger King.
Don Mousa, aka Chef Doon, is the owner from Jourdan.

Bun’s, a new “modern fast-casual” burger concept, is preparing to open its doors at 7004 Siegen Lane — the site of a former Burger King — with sights set on international recognition.

quote:

For its burgers and Philly-style cheesesteaks, Bun’s will make all of its buns in-house. It will also offer burgers and meats aged in-house with a specialty refrigerator imported from Turkey. The restaurant will also have comfort food appetizers like cheesesteak eggrolls, chili fries, crab balls, and dynamite shrimp.

quote:

Mousa said he brings over 15 years of chef industry experience to the table, including a stint in San Francisco at the Michelin-starred restaurant Angler. That high-end sensibility is baked directly into the Bun’s DNA. With plans to add more locations if the first is successful, Mousa said his ultimate goal for the restaurant is as bold as its flavors, bringing Baton Rouge its first Michelin star. An opening date is set for January.

I'm not sure what that place is. But that seems like a risky business venture. I wish them luck. It is directly in the middle of Twin Peaks and Small Sliders

They opened up a place over by my house in Spring called Bun Slut

I’ll take a slutty melt with side of slut sauce.

had just a regular smash burger. It was pretty good. only complaint was it's a big arse burger and only had 2 pickles on it. C'mon man, don't skimp on the pickles, and they were really good crispy pickles.

Also got the cheesesteak eggrolls to try and they were really good, so i imagine the cheesesteak burger is going to be good.

Fries were good i guess, but i'm not a big french fry guy.

Not a dessert guy either but they had these desserts in a jar that i imagine people who like desserts would like.

All in all, i'd definitely go back and eat there. The double smash burger was pretty big. the meat was hanging out the sides of the bun. I couldn't even finish the whole burger, although i did eat 2 of the 4 cheesesteak egg rolls too.

oh yeah and it came with a little slice of fried corn on the cob. that was actually really fricking good.

Pricing doesn't look bad compared to other burger places around there.

Classic $9.95

smashed Cajun Surf & Turf $13.57
Smashed patties with provolone cheese, blackened Cajun shrimp, lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, pickles, and Cajun rémoulade.

Old School Philly $11.76
Grilled filet steak with onions, green bell peppers, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomatos, and mayo.

Eggroll $9.05
Crispy hand-rolled eggrolls filled with your choice of Chicken, philly Steak, Crawfish, or Vegetable. Each filling is packed with flavor and wrapped in a golden, crunchy shell.

Well, i don’t see how this place can survive.

Went today at lunch.
30 min wait for burgers.
I got the classic philly which turned out to be a burger with peppers and provolone. It tasted ok but, not close to a philly cheese steak. Fries are just basic frozen fries.

The kitchen and counter were extremely unorganized.
A few groups actually asked for refunds and left. Apparently the food had already been started. They ended up asking people if they wanted to try that food for free.

At one point they just stopped taking orders and turned customers away.

$19 for this including a fountain drink. Service was bad. It took 35 minutes to get my food. Food was tasty though. As stated, they had to lock the door and refuse customers as they were way behind. This was Friday 1/30/26.

I never want to see a small business fail, but this place appears to be a disaster from the start.

They aren't doing themselves any favors by serving frozen onion rings and frozen fries. Any place can do that. And they can do it with better and quicker service for the overall meal, and charge slightly less.
