Anybody tried this product? I bought a couple and put them on my outside faucets. Seem to be doing exactly what they are billed to do. Pretty ingenious. I had never heard of these until just the other day.

Been using them for a couple of years now. Gave some to my Dad for Christmas. Great product.

One of my off brand ones is acting up...putting out a little too much water...but better that than frozen pipes.
A new one arrives tomorrow.
Highly recommend them.

I've been using them for a few years now. Dipped into the single digits the last few nights, no busted pipes. Does create a chunk of ice on the ground under the spigot though.

Looks plenty fancy, but my father in law swore by wrapping hose bibs with his worn out gold toe dress socks.
Never failed him over 50 plus years of watching over his rental properties, so I do the same. Cracker ingenuity works.

This is my first year to use them, and they've worked great for the past 3 days. Our lowest temperature during that timeframe was 15 degrees.
Good to hear others on here have had success using them as well.

have 4 using for first time. The spigot on the north side of the house runs more water than what i would have liked/imagined. Not sure if the miser is acting up a bit or bc its north side of house and spigot IS that cold. but it has to run off to across the driveway so kind of a pain.

Do you guys use a catch basin of any sort or just let it run and freeze?

I just let it run and freeze, I don't think trying to catch it or divert it is going to work in these temps. It took two days to make a chunk of ice about 4" tall, just tossed it into the yard so it could grow another one. Temps are supposed to get well above freezing after today anyway.

Yep
Four of them working at this time!

ty. I'm definitely going to pick some up. Do you still wrap the faucet or is that unnecessary?

Nope, nothing wrapped at all. Mine aren't even frost-proof bibs, just regular 1/4-turn spigot valves on copper pipes. I did make sure I pumped a good bit of sealant around them to seal up the holes in the brick fascia though.

I bought 6 of them before the freeze last year and they work great. Hopefully they last a long time

I saw it mentioned here and haven't bought it yet, but will eventually. Seems too easy and beats the hell out of my current routine.

I've got 4 now, and bought 2 for my son. My dad bought a couple and I went and got 3 for my mother's house. I'm sold on these things. They are pricey up front but could save a lot of money and misery if they work year in and out as advertised.

Are they sold locally? I just ordered 3
The nice thing about them is you can just leave it on. Apply around Christmas and remove when you want to use the hose in the spring.

Are y’all still dripping water indoors with these?
