Klubnik and Nuss are the poster childs for nil

Both were in top 10-15 of most mocks had they come out for the draft
A little extra nil ended up costing both a windfall signing bonus/contract

Nuss is listed as the 3rd QB off the board in the draft, not sure if he would have gone ahead of Dillon Gabriel last year

One team is gonna fall in love. All it takes.

Both are poster children for being overhyped by media in the first place. Ill never understand why guys that couldnt play or coach football well are taken as experts about the game.
As an LSU fan I watched Nuss' entire career. Never when I saw him did i think future 1st rounder. Hes got a big arm. Hundreds of kids yearly do. Ryan Leaf did, Jeff George and Jamarcus Russell had the arm strength legends are built around. All of them were trash just like Nuss. He quit as a freshman, couldnt overcome Daniel's when half our fanbase jumped aboard the Nuss bus then he was mindnumbingly bad in big situations as a junior and complete trash as a senior. Where's the 1st rounder? Likely to be home watching his dad and brother in a couple of years. Not matter whether he went last year or going this year he is destined to be bad as hes always been. Quitters never prosper. Its in their genes to fail. A feature not a bug.

These guys had Heisman and National championship chances.
Being a mid-round 1st or early 2nd, they probably thought their seasons wouldnt be so bad they're projected in the 4th round of a weak QB class.

I’m curious to see what Nuss does with competent coaching. He was hamstrung by the Kelly/Sloan coaching combo and played hurt most of this year. Someone is going to take a mid-round flyer on him and reap the benefits.

You're the poster child of shitty threads.

Nuss has no awareness and is not an nfl qb

Nuss is a dinosaur in today’s NFL. If he doesn’t learn how to use his legs more, he will never be a full time starter. He will be another Patrick Ramsey.
As bad as he was this season due to injury, I still think there is a starting QB potential with him but he needs to evolve and start running some.

Don’t be surprised if Nuss actually becomes a decent QB with a long journeyman career.
With actual coaching he could refine his decision making.

Not that bad of a deal really. Im sure Matt Flynn is living the good life. He got himself a ring didnt he.

So make your call right now. Who are going to be the top 5 QB's in college football next year?

You including Nick Saban in this group?

Flynn got $20 million because of one game. He hit the jackpot

I think the word you’re looking for is “children”.

complete trash as a senior.
To be fair to Nuss, he waited for his turn and showed flashes as a junior. Then he was injured all season with a Joe Sloan offense as a senior. I hope he kills it in the NFL.

Paul Hornung couldn't throw a forward pass if his life depended on it. The game changes. Is it likely to change in Nuss' prime? No, but to act as if mobile QBs will always be the norm going forward shows you have no understanding of how the game evolves. Hell, in 5 years we are probably back to a Les Miles type offense.

Sorry, but these three guys are terrible comparisons to Nuss.
Leaf and Russell actually were strong college QBs, but flopped in the NFL.
George actually hung around the NFL for quite a while and had a few periods as an above average starter.

Jeff George is an odd example to make your point considering he played in the NFL for 14 years.
