I don't know what the right answer is.
MN rioters are willing to kill and, most importantly, DIE, for this.
It may not be the worst idea to take a breath and reorganize the response.

Not really.
Teedy called off NOPD to allow rioters to enter the city and interfere with ICE as they conducted raids in NOLA. But Governor Jeff Landry sent in the state police and set up a perimeter around the ICE operations to allow them to work unimpeded.
There are no issues when either local or state police are aligned with the administration. The issues occur when city and state leadership instructs city and state police to stand down. Even in Minnesota in jurisdictions with Trump favorable local police ICE operations are going off without a hitch.

The right move is to vocally focus elsewhere and quietly pull back ICE in Minnesota just a little.
Have ICE concentrate on the worst offenders there.
Then vocally make it public whenever they arrest some major players in Minnesota. Rinse and repeat.
ICE can pull back and pause without making it public.

i wish that had been the case when the federal government sent in the 101st airborne division to integrate our public schools in little rock. today our public schools are 80% minority majority, only 23% of students are proficient in reading and 8 public schools were closed at the start of the 2025 school year.
the state now pay's for private school tuition so it's all good!
