This movie was awful. Don't watch. I was excited for a Ben and Matt flick. Nope. This movie was godawful. Do not watch. 0/10.

I say watch it. I thought it was pretty good but it’s right up my alley for what I want in a movie.

0/10 is a little tough, but I certainly won’t watch it a second time a year from now

Agreed. It’s intended to be a who done it, but it’s more of a who cares.

The team is ridiculous.

What’s so bad about it without giving spoilers?

I got fifteen minutes in and turned it off. Maybe I was just in the wrong frame of mind but that was my experience. I may try to watch it again later.

Sorta dumb far fetched plot points. Supposed to be "Who's the bad guy" and you know almost immediately who it's going to be just because he walked on screen with no other reason to be in the show except to be the bad guy. Many of the action set pieces are far fetched and non-sensical.

I wouldn't say 0/10 but it did get a little hokey toward the end. It was a little far fetched to get to the conclusion.

I was intrigued about it when I first saw a mini-clip, but lost interest after seeing Damon's comments about filming movies for Netflix.
quote:

“The standard way to make an action movie that we learned was, you usually have three set pieces,” Damon said. “One in the first act, one in the second, one in the third. […] You spend most of your money on that one in the third act. That’s your finale.

“And now they’re like, ‘Can we get a big one in the first five minutes? We want people to stay tuned in,'” Damon continued. “And it wouldn’t be terrible if you reiterated the plot three or four times in the dialogue because people are on their phones while they’re watching.”

From reading through this thread, it appears his comments are spot on.

What part of what he says do you not like?

I thought it was good, 0/10 is really harsh

I’d give it a 7/10

Same here. It had enough in it to keep me interested. If I only ranked on rewatchability, most everything modern would be 1/10. I hardly ever rewatch movies or tv shows until much later.

The RIP was as entertaining as anything else put out in the last few years. Stars, action, suspense, a few thrills, minimal political commentary. I wouldn't be surprised if this is one of Netflix's most watched movies this year.

It was not great but worth the watch.
I like Damon's character.

There are a lot of plot holes in the script but overall a decent flix.

I enjoyed it. I thought it was pretty good, but did put much of it together before the end.

LOL…man some of yall are pretty tough film critics.

It’s not some Oscar winning, culture changing epic film. But for decent Netflix popcorn click it’s pretty good.
