First off, that dude’s mannerisms and word usage is completely feminine.

Anyway, more than an ideological split, I’d say this country has a reality chasm. These people are stuck in a fantasy world. They view life as some marvel or Star Wars movie where they think they are the hero. But when the hero blows up the Death Star, the movie ends and everyone is happy. These nerds can’t even see the outcome of whatever violence they think they want doesn’t have a neat resolution. It ends in lots of death and suffering. Mostly theirs.

And the worst part for them: no one will remember them. They will be no different than the people who rode Stalin’s coattails. Erased and forgotten like a bad dream.

I guess it feels good to play the hero leading up to that though.
