When going to a protest, do you bring a firearm with you?

It worked out well for Kyle Rittenhouse, but not so good for this male nurse. Is it a good idea to bring a firearm to a protest?

I wouldn't go at all if I expected to need it.

I would also make sure not to pick a fight while carrying, and if stopped by LEOs, keep my hands visible and tell them I'm a CCL.

When going up to armed law enforcement agents, do you bring a firearm with you?

There’s no reason you shouldn’t bring a gun to a protest….if you’re protesting peacefully.

Probably not.

If you anticipate personal unpleasant interactions with law enforcement? Definitely not.

if you were going to protest what you believed to be a tyrannical government, why would you ever NOT bring a weapon?

ETA: I wish the people downvoting this would provide an answer as to why they wouldn't bring a weapon

Protesting government overreach is no place for a firearm.

Not like you will be disarmed and accidentally shot.

There's quite a risk.

A better idea: Stay home, pray to the Lord, and go to bed early.

I would never go to a protest/riot but if I did I would have a firearm on my person. I do not leave my house without one. Of course, I also would never interfere with law enforcement operations.

I'm assuming NRA will be defending the man shot here.

Depending on the state doing so could be illegal.

You're a good little subject. Would never bear arms against law enforcement no matter the reason.

I probably would but I’d protest peacefully. Getting into it with law enforcement while loaded isn’t a good idea

You need a reason to carry a gun now?

How liberal are you?

These people are going way beyond protesting governmental overreach.

They are harassing agents and inserting themselves into situations and purposefully trying to ramp up the situation in an effort to get a reaction... and then are surprised when someone gets killed.

Never been to a protest because I work, raise a family, volunteer in civic organizations, and try to overall be a standup citizen. The feral animals on tv aren’t protesters, they are the very bottom of the barrel in society. They are unattractive losers who only find anything remotely satisfying in being surrounded by other ugly losers like themselves.
