Yep. I just do not like Damon in that role. Didn't like the other actors, either. That ad did not sit well with me.

It blows my mind that Nolan casted Zendaya in this film. I don’t know what the hell he saw in her, but there is absolutely nothing about her looks or acting abilities that warrant her starring in a story of this caliber.
It’s no different from when Todd Phillips cast Lady Gaga in the Joker sequel.

Nolan has always made questionable casting choices….until you watch his films.

That is a smidge different than casting actors that are the opposite of classical and certainly not close to accurate to the geography of where the story took place.
He casted it like a modern retelling but seems to have kept the time period, setting, wardrobes, and tone. He's mixing American actors with British actors. Just an interesting hodge podge of things. Could still be good.

They are very wisely trying to also appeal to the younger crowd for this, who otherwise, would not be interested in the odyssey (let alone know what it is) like us older folks.
