That is all. Wish we’d kept him SO badly.

Nah he’s gonna ask for #1 or #2 receiver type money and he’s a gadget guy

Plus we got badly needed draft capital.

he really was one of my favorite players and one of the few playmakers we had around here.

I understand the trade but don't necessarily have to like it.

I keep seeing people say this. Number two money is 25 a year. I just can’t see a team giving him that.

He was going to be an expensive, one-trick pony if they didn't.

You hate a team for letting a free agent go that they weren’t going to make the playoffs with and weren’t going to pay, while getting a 4th and 5th round pick for? If so, you never really liked the team to begin with, you just liked the player.

Not that serious fella. Just miss the player. Liked having him in black and gold.

If Shough proves to be the guy we’re thinking he is long term then we shouldn’t need to pay a deep threat high end 2 money. You will be able to find the one trick pony vet field stretchers and first contract guys to fill that roll for cheaper instead of paying guys the big second contract to do it.

He’s absolutely going to get that or close based off the playoffs.

His 1 catch in 2 postseason games? He’s a great return specialist, but that sure doesn’t warrant a $20+ million/year contact.

Shaheed is a proven commodity.

"Draft capital" with Loomis pulling the strings means nothing.

We go trade Shaheed, then we go trade a 4th round pick for an unproven guy that the Broncos we likely to cut..........so forgive me if I can't take the "draft capital" argument.

Shaheed is a great kick returner, but he is not a WR1 or WR2 because he can't run good routes. Vele will never beat Shaheed in a foot race, but he will get open in ways that Shaheed never could. Where we were at the deadline, Shaheed couldn't help us but he could help a contender to do what he is doing...returning kicks and being a WR3/4.

That was a good trade for both sides.
