Pretti's gun was reported to be a Sig Sauer P320 9mm pistol.

Contract Details: ICE awarded a contract to SIG Sauer in 2017, making the P320 the official duty pistol for agents for eight years.
Controversy and Safety Concerns: The P320 has been subject to lawsuits and reports claiming it can fire "uncommanded" or without the trigger being pulled, with at least a dozen officers reporting unintentional discharges.
Recent Status: In July 2025, reports indicated that ICE was moving to replace the Sig Sauer P320 with Glock 19 pistols following these safety concerns, according to internal memos.
Despite these safety concerns and internal moves to phase them out, some reports indicated that as of mid-2025, the Sig Sauer P320 was still listed on the agency's approved gun roster.
