NRA and pro-gun groups call for ‘full investigation’ into killing of Alex Pretti

After all, it is an inalienable right to protect yourself and the lying media (MSM) is also stating Americans have the right to bear or carry arms.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) has joined other gun lobbying and advocacy groups that are typically aligned with Donald Trump in calling for the Republican president’s administration to conduct a “full investigation” into the killing of Alex Pretti, the 37-year-old nurse who was shot dead by federal immigration officials in Minneapolis on Saturday.
Pretti was reportedly legally permitted to carry a gun and is a citizen of the US, where it is a constitutional right to bear arms. Widely circulated video of his shooting death does not depict him ever holding a gun. It does show an officer reaching to Pretti’s lower back and stepping away with what appeared to be a pistol – and Pretti being subsequently shot to death.
The NRA waded into the national dialogue over Pretti’s killing after Bill Essayli – who was appointed by Trump to temporarily serve as a US attorney in California in 2025 – posted on social media: “If you approach law enforcement with a gun, there is a high likelihood they will be legally justified in shooting you.”

The NRA is a crazy leftist organization. frick them.
True Americans fully support ICE.

That's probably an unconstitutional law, like the one in the Rittenhouse prosecution.

I wouldn’t give the NRA the used toilet paper I just wiped my butt with.

Is ANYONE saying this incident shouldn’t be investigated?

The nra used to be a good organization. Unfortunately power and money corrupted those in charge.

May very well be, but until someone rules that way, it's illegal

I actually agree. They steal members' $ to support the lifestyle of their executivs. That's why I joined Gun Owners of America

I have not ever and will not ever pay attention to a gun law. However, I will not ever confront law enforcement fully armed unless I am ready to sacrifice myself for cause or others.
I do not like the NRA and I know they are using this to raise money based upon the circumstances surrounding this fellas death. However, the right to bear arms shall not be infringed yet infringement is taking place regarding behaviors of law enforcement and speech of political leaders post episode.

This is the info I’m looking for. What law was he afoul of? I mean other than assaulting/resisting

I do not like the idea of law enforcement shooting someone just because they have a gun on them. If there is an incident and my shirt comes up and they just shoot because they see my gun, that's not right.
But notice how I never mention I'd be actively involved in the incident. I know when carrying that a small thing can grow into a life and death thing because I have my gun. I'm not getting involved in anything, argument, scuffle, etc. while carrying unless I know death or serious injury is at risk. I'm certainly not inserting myself between law enforcement on purpose.
I say all this trying not to pay attention too much to what's on the news, because I know I'm not getting to true story from anyone right now.

MN requires permit holders to have their permit and driver's license when careying.

I'll repeat what I said the day this current shite show occurred.
If the ICE agents overreacted and used unnecessary force they should be held accountable. On the other hand, if Pretti was engaging ICE agents and impeding their operation and efforts to round up criminal Illegal aliens, then Pretti is a victim of his own poor decisions.

first of all I wouldn’t have even been at a protest. Fighting with the federal government removing illegals in our country. He was there. Had a gun. I don’t give a damn if he had a conceal. He screwed up and wanted to show his arse like that girl. Leave them alone and let them do their job.
