I’ve never seen one episode. But figured since I’m iced in I’ll start it.
Season 1 is top notch. Hope it keeps up.

OMG! One of the best series ever. Enjoy.
Peaky Blinders is one of those shows where Season 1 hooks almost everyone immediately — the style, the music, the pacing, the whole Shelby swagger.
It starts strong with a tight, stylish first season that pulls you in fast. As the series goes on, the story gets bigger, the stakes rise, and Tommy Shelby becomes more complex. The tone shifts from quick and sharp to heavier and more psychological, but the atmosphere, music, and tension stay consistent.
Most people consider the first few seasons the best run, but the show remains engaging all the way through.

It's a fairly solid show. The last season suffers due to the absence of Helen McCrory, who sadly passed away before filming began. I understand the innate desire to honor a person's memory by not recasting their role when they die. However, her character was too instrumental to the plot NOT to re-cast.

I had to watch the first 3 episodes multiple times. Even with CC on, it took me a while, and then it was great.

I envy you. Getting to see Peaky Blinders for the first time.

I’ve watched the pilot no less than 5x in varying degrees. CC immediately put me to sleep and the entire series run overlapped with having young kids.
I’ll give it another go soon

Subtitles and Jameson are required for viewing

First few seasons are awesome. Last season or so once he got into politics seemed to drag a little.

It's a great show, but prepare to 100% have your subtitles on and drink lots of whiskey.

It helps to have closed captions on.

My wife and I started the series last weekend. We are now already finished with Season 3. Can't believe I've not watched this before.
It is like an English version of The Wire or The Sopranos.
Some of the accents are kind of hard to understand, but we got used to them eventually.

Did you just rip your response from an AI program?

I never watched the last season. Kinda just lost interest. Thought the first couple of seasons were pretty good then it just kinda fell off.

I did. Don't have original thoughts.

I am just finishing up Season 5 myself.
In the first few seasons, I hated Arthur but now he is just as good as Tommy for me.
The politics stuff I admit I don't understand but I still enjoy it all.

Finished it yesterday. Same here on the political parties, but I enjoyed it all the way through. Now I have this void in my life as we are still iced in.
And if i saw right there will be a PB movie in March.

Thank god because that ending was an absolute abomination
Still really love the show but the last season killed my desire to ever watch it again. Hopefully the movie gives us a better conclusion.
