Have we ever had a coach execute like this right off the bat?

I'm including Saban

We just went had 7 wins and nobody gives a shite.

Dude took the defibrillator out and said "clear".

He plugged into LSU and hit every right button.

Like, if it's this good in the first couple months of his tenure, how electric are home games going to be? Lane keeps going on and on about feeling the power of Tiger Stadium.

At first I thought it was just a talking point for the boosters but holy shite he tapped into something this program has never seen

Saban knew exactly what he was doing edging Lane to us.

Yall enjoy this shite.

Kiffin is having his Thanos moment. Frank Wilson gone? Fine, I'll do it myself. Dude has been hitting up all the schools in New Orleans for the past day.

When was the last time a sitting head coach at LSU shows up to Edna Karr to recruit?

It’s kind of an apples to oranges thing for all the coaches other than BK. I’m sure he can reel in a big high school recruiting class as well. Putting a good team on the field should certainly help.

The Dinardo "Bring Back the Magic" tour was pretty special. He got the NCAA to allow us to wear white jerseys at home. He went on a politician style tour all over Louisiana selling his vision.

Then he landed Kevin Faulk, Booger McFarland, and a host of future LSU legends that had been leaving Louisiana for years.

It felt every bit as exciting and we were in a much worse place as a program.

I know we live in a world of comparison but this is a subject you can't make a conparison. So many variables.
Having said that Lane is doing an unbelievable job right off the bat. Remember the main reason he came was because he knew he would have far greater resources (cash and personel both) than Ole Miss. He's using it to his best.

What lane doing is absolutely incredible and kids want to play for him.. but it’s a whole lot easier to show up with a blank check and say how much?

No. We’ve had “BOOMS” right out of the gate — like DiNardo hauling in Kevin Faulk. But this is the BEST recruiting job in LSU history IMHO

I can’t do them, but someone should put up a meme of CLK as Thanos: “I am inevitable!”

You have never had this much money to execute with before.

This is what you get when you hire someone at the peak of their powers, not over-the-hill retirement seekers.

The Brand boy, it’s the Brand. Kiffin said himself. The resources, the facilities, that stadium & THAT LOGO. It’s DIFFERENT!

No, and what happened is why Rece Davis, Finebaum, Pate, etc. melted when LK “left a team in the playoffs”.

They knew this was going to happen and couldn’t help their internal bias from showing.

This does feel very similar to that. VERY exciting time to be an LSU football fan! It seems as if LSU has it's hunger back.

While I understand why he doesn’t get enough credit, the fact is, he doesn’t get enough credit for the resurgence of LSU football.

I think his early success showed Saban LSU’s possibilities AND he left Saban with a pretty string foundation of players to build upon
