Great clip. Increasing the average age of a team, a team made up of 21-23 yr olds, 3-4 yrs experience that’s what has won the last 3 NC

Gotta have at least a dozen 25 year olds on your roster that the NCAA somehow “approved” of.

Used to mean you had a team of badass players.
Now it means old af guys.
Fun
The difficult part of coaching was getting teenagers to play good football while becoming young adults and everything that comes with it.
I guess now you’re a great coach if you pack a bunch of 24 year olds on a team.

Everyone should see this after watching DJ Lagway and Bryce Underwood rob their respective donors.
The difficult part is trying to keep those players on your team when they aren't getting "PT"

Yep. More evidence this is becoming NFL triple A ball.

Yeah I don’t like it. Not as fair a playing field when you have 18 year olds competing with 23 year olds. Toney still whooped Indiana’s defense, but he’s 1 of 1.

Realistically shouldn’t 5 star recruits values be down then? This is a natural progression to go back to the late 90s and early 2000s when coaches wanted 3-4 year Qbs starting and freshmen star recruits mostly redshirted. They are unproven commodities.

So guys who likely were not good enough to go pro earlier is now a good thing?
Couldn't possibly be coaching....nope....

It really is incredible how quickly they’ve ruined college sports. No reason to continue following this shite when the pro model already exists and is exponentially better than the current abomination that is cfb/cbb

Pretty much.
Wonder why BYU doesn't have a buncha nattys if its that simple.

Does Indiana have a big budget for players or they just got all the 24yrs olds that would nornally have gone to the CFL or someother b leauge?

BYU has been doing this for years

Massively. All of HS recruiting really.
Didn’t get that recruit? Oh well, you can just pay him to come anyway after this season or next.

A 5th year senior has always been 22-23 and a freshman 18-19. The crying about this shite is comical. Only difference now is that the elders have lateral and upward mobility and programs can consolidate older talent in the portal.
No team is stocked totally with 18-19 year olds, just like no team is stocked with 25 year olds like TheeRetard believes

It's crazy.
Make it 5 years to play total. Ban grad students.
But until then, yes play the game..

going back to 2019 every QB on the championship winning team
Burrow - 5th yr senior
Mac Jones - senior
Stetson Bennet x 2 - super super senior
JJ McCarthy - junior but 3 year starter (outlier)
Will Howard - 5th year senior
This year, Beck vs Mendoza super senior and senior
I don’t think you can invest in young QBs to compete…even if they have the skills they don’t have the physical and mental reps needed.
I think only Running Back and Corner Back and an occasional WR will be the exception where skilled freshman can have an impact

Their guys were going on 2 year mission trips around the world feeding pygmies and teaching Starvin Marvin not to drink dookie water, they weren’t playing football the whole time.
