Yall got to get over this guy,

He didn't come close to what Saban accomplished here and yall are tripping over your dicks to suck wades at every turn.

Mens basketball is #3 in priority at LSU.

Get help.

This is like a gut punch to the will wade garglers. They'll be crying themselves to sleep tonight. They convinced themselves he couldn't wait to come back to BR.

He was fired because he landed us in probation. The NCAA clubbed that with a minor violation in football, which could have landed us in football probation with scholarship reductions.

Remember the bad old days when we could not pay players! and when the NCAA and not state and federal courts made the rules.

Not as bad as watching 3.5 years of McMahon.

Not sure if he ends up back here or not, but that statement really doesn’t mean much.

I get it, you’re latching to any hope possible at this point. Been a rough few weeks on the basketball front for you.

Either you have no clue what you’re talking about or trying to revise history. Either way, you’re wrong. He was fired because Woody didn’t like him and thought he could replace him. We see how that worked out. The worse punishment possible was McMahon. Wade is about to take his 2nd team to the dance since he left LSU. We’re still hoping to be on the bubble.

Well revenue sharing/NIL wasn’t an option when he coached at LSU. I don’t know what support he was expecting to get and hard to compare to his current situation. He paid players from his wife’s checking account and kind of made his own bed. If it’s just Scott Woodward he is referencing by “support,” that’s a different story.

With all this said, I sure miss Will Wade. LSU basketball was thriving at the time of his departure…

There’s certainly more to it than “Scott didn’t like him.” No AD is firing a successful coach that revitalized a program because they didn’t grab lunch together enough.

Wade was fired in 22, when NIL and the TP was just getting started. The NCAA still had teeth. LSU was put on probation is basketball with a "lack of institutional control". Check the history of what that looked like in the bad old days...SMU, Miami, Alabama (twice), USC (a natty got taken away)....

On that day when the infractions were announced...the NCAA still had some teeth left. They could give us one last bite and the bite would have been in football.

Woody's likes and dislikes had nothing to do with it baw......

Unlike you, intelligent people do not take rash decisions on the basis of likes and dislikes.

I mean let’s be real, we never backed him after all the shite he did to try and make us a winner.

He has a right to not like us anymore.

LSU’s case was handled by the IARP, which unlike the NCAA committee on infractions actually followed the bylaws on what information could be used to issue violations, and absolutely none of the salacious accusations against Wade were usable under those bylaws. Hence the reason he didn’t get hit hard and LSU didn’t get hit hard.

Like I said, you don’t know what you talking about. The reason the NCAA leaked info to the press on Wade is because they knew at the end of the day the IARP wasn’t going to issue heavy sanctions without evidence/information that could be used under the NCAA’s bylaws, so they wanted to make him look bad publicly.

Verge has a want to right the wrongs of his predecessor. I believe he will.

Maybe the next coach isn’t WW, but I would agree to stop talking about tPear altogether if we would simply move on from McMahon. Deal?

A 10-game suspension and a show cause (that was very watered down) that didn’t prevent him from working and getting a team to the tournament.

I’d gladly take that over 4 years of basketball irrelevancy.

Highly unlikely a school will fire someone then turn around and hire them back. People need to move on and start thinking of the next Jay Johnson of basketball not named WW.

You’re kidding yourself if you don’t Scott was looking for a reason to terminate Wade. It was also Scott that prevented LSU from rehiring him last March. He literally gave McMahon another year because he didn’t want to be in the market for a coach will Wade was at McNeese.

The lack of self awareness is expected at this point.
