The problem with federal immigration enforcement in Minneapolis is the lack of local LE.

The chaos in Minneapolis stems from a lack of support from local law enforcement (Minneapolis Police Department) and Minnesota state police. This is largely due to decisions by Mayor Jacob Frey and Governor Tim Walz.
I watched Tucker Carlson's latest episode last night, where he interviewed independent journalist Nick Sortor, who's been reporting directly from the ground in Minneapolis.
Sortor described the situation as chaotic—and said Frey and Walz appear to want it that way.
For comparison, he mentioned following ICE agents during their raids in New Orleans (NOLA). Those operations went smoothly with little disruption. The reason? Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry directed state police to set up a secure perimeter around ICE teams as they rounded up undocumented immigrants, which prevented hired protesters from interfering.
In Minneapolis, the opposite is happening: MPD officers have reportedly been ordered to stand down. As a result, hired mobs rush in unchecked, creating the disorder and violence we're seeing now.
Sortor added that ICE is not having any issues in small towns where they are conducting raids in Minnesota because local law enforcement is backing them up.
Tucker.

Walz and the baguette mayor are using politics which favors Democrats over the best interest of the people.

Frey, Waltz, and Ellison should all be arrested for supporting this his bullshite:

Which is why they had to focus more heavily on the area (at least in part).

It’s all by design in an attempt force a strong response. They want video clips of the federal actions for the midterms.

Bingo. Optics is all the Dems have.

That happens in Portland and Seattle, too. And all over Cali.

Also want to mention Tucker and Sortor's commentary on current "immigration" polling. They said the polling showed Trump underwater on the issue and the MSM is interpreting that as the Trump admin being too aggressive. Sortor indicated anecdotally that many of the people begin polled, poll negatively toward the administration on the immigration issue not because they are being too aggressive, it's that they are not being aggressive enough.
Trump needs to ramp up deportation to get his polling numbers up on the immigration issue. Not scale back.

I assume, they are short handed (purposely) like all blue cities.

This should be clear to everyone. They want chaos and they want people filming it to use later, it’s literally what Walz called for. They want ICE to be a boogeyman and they don’t care how they get there
An effective leader would protecting the people by de-escalating and getting local police involved

With a Democrat governor we would have seen similar chaos in NOLA ICE raids as we currently see in Minneapolis. But because we have Republican leadership at the state level the LSP backed up ICE despite NOPD not helping.
When ICE enters a Democrat led city in a Democrat led state, chaos will ensue.

What’s frustrating to me is the lack of “soft power” to force deportations.
It seems so much simpler to just start arresting business owners and CEOs who hire illegals. And to also strip away welfare/EBT, etc
At this point I would also offer each individual $5,000, plane ticket,
And some other incentives to just leave

This was always the plan. But it's not for mid terms.. It's to put everyone in jail that supported Trump including Trump when dems get back in power.
Trump admin used military to kill American citizens.

Bingo
They know very well they are allowing or motivating people to put themselves at risk. They are not trying to control anything or ask that people remain peaceful. Never in a million years would they admit it but they are eagerly awaiting more violence and deaths.

The leftist minions are getting completely used by the Democrat elites. This is not new to marxism. What's astounding, is the abject stupidity of these people allowing themselves to be used. The Democrat bureaucrats are begging for their minions to assault cops and then subsequently get shot and killed. The problem, is the last time it happened, it was a white woman. What the Democrats are praying to happen, is that their lies will encourage a black person to be sacrificed for the Democrat campaign. They are literally remorseful that the white woman wasn't black.

How dare you emotionally attack Minnesota’s state rights to act a fool!
