Agents are sitting at the table with his client and has access to each offer from the schools. My guess is he can share offer amounts with each team recruiting his client. Bidding wars are going to drive the cost of doing business through the roof. Can we just go back to passing money under the table?

I hate agents almost with as much of a passion as I love LSU.

This new age of college football is exciting to watch. The agents and drama keep you on the edge of your seat. This is what American capitalism is all about - supply and demand.

5 years from now we will think of what's happening right now as child's play.

Let's just call it what it is, it's semi-pro football.

Agreed. I understand why people miss the old days and get frustrated, but this is a billion dollar industry. Let the free market do its thing.

College players are in for a rude awakening when they discover they can't change teams every year and put their services up for bid.

I agree, but the average fan is getting priced out in the process. I was shocked when they announced that football season tickets weren't going up next season.

When is that happening? At minimum not until the players unionize and universities make the players employees. We are multiple years from that.

The thing that surprises me is that we haven’t had any stories about kids getting into trouble with the IRS. I feel like that’s inevitable.

Calling these people "Agents" is incredibly generous to them and disrespectful to actual agents.

When they get to the pros, it's a different game.

"Agents"........collegiate sports do not require certifications for those acting as representatives of athletes; unlike "agents '" of pro athletes who are required to be certified. by the individual leagues.

Especially when those “agents” are annoying and impossible to deal with family members.

Who is getting priced out? There were tons of empty seats last year
