No one pretends he's a terrible coach, because he's not.
He's also not an elite coach, but some LSU fans put him on a pedestal because they think he told the NCAA to frick off, when in reality it was the other way around.
He's better than McMahon, but LSU should strive for a better coach than Will Wade.

I think it is more the fact that he is a perfect fit for what the mens basketball coach at lsu has to be. Not every personality can work here no matter how good they are. Its a unique job that requires a unique personality for success.

This is more about the morons on here than it is about Wade. NCST gets blown out at home by VA and loses to a team they were favored by 15.5 and Wade is Coach K. Mcmahon get blown out by FL on the road without a healthy DJ coming off an injury and no Reed and he's the worst coach ever. There is no context here. It's laughable. Wade has a $10-12 million budget and a POY candidate. He should be beating a ranked team. He shouldn't be losing to a team he was favored to roll. Does this mean Wade sucks as a coach? No. Does it mean he has been underperforming this year? Yes. I don't think he lost his best and most important player and his best bench player to injury this year so what's the excuse? This will all take care of itself by the end of the season but to hold the FL loss as some example of mcmahon coaching is a joke. That is probably a 2 seed when all said and done.
