For (it seems like) a year or more, when I see Billy Bob Thornton in public, or doing an interview, he always wears a (?)headscarf(?) and hat.

Maybe it's me, but I find it to be a very unusual or eccentric look. If anyone knows the answer, is there a particular reason for both the headscarf AND hat? Is there a medical reason? Is it as simple as this is "his look" or "his style?" In the past day or so, I saw an interview clip in which the scarf was gray, and the hat was red. IMO, it gave off "alternate lifestyle" vibes.

Just wondering . . . Not obsessing or anything, only curious as to why Thornton would wear this unusual combination literally everywhere.

Billy Bob is a great actor but he is a very strange man.

Apparently he's incredibly nice and friendly in public. Lots of stories out there of him shooting the shite with regular folk for extended periods of time.

I saw a clip of someone asking him this, and he said he saw someone wear it, and he just liked the look.

You wear the headscarf to protect your hair. You wear the hat because you want to wear a hat. Hat with no hat head basically.

Maybe he’s bald and is trying to hide it.

I watched his interview on Rogan and came away with a totally different impression of him than I had previously. Maybe it was just an act for the audience of Landman, but I found him to be very down to earth and humble. He said that he always stops to take pictures and sign stuff. He even said he loves Fort Worth. Didn't sound like a huge fan of the Hollywood fracas.

by all accounts he is. I saw a fb post the other day about him, and the comments were full of fond, personal anecdotes people were sharing about run-ins with him. Him sitting down and having beers and chatting with strangers for an hour just because, and stuff like that.

He has stated in past interviews that he has a bad case of obsessive compulsive disorder. It could be some sort of security thing related to that. He's a strange cat but apparently a pretty nice and down to earth guy in real life.

Don't do tik tok, but know how to google.

tick tok video

ETA:
Before googling I wondered if it was like Paul Skenes with his scarf things under his baseball cap. Looked like he did that to clear up acne from sweating during the season. Either the scarves or something he got from Livy cleared it up.
