Seems like they need to subsidize the cost of the medicine

That potentially creates liability for them. Charging fares by the pound, on the other hand…

If everyone overweight lost 20 pounds (myself included), the country would see massive improvements in most facets of life. 3rd order effects would blow most people away.
You’d literally see less racism. Obesity = tired = disgruntled = impulsive = anger

Raising the cost of domestic flights would likely produce the same result.

Good, tired of subsidizing these people.

The drop in jet fuel cost in 2025 7-10% is about $22 billion in savings.

In Mexico they have Ozempic in the pill form generic. It’s $125/100 pills.

Did my part. Over Thanksgiving I Flew for first time since losing 80 lbs. I was embarrassed how easy the seatbelt was to latch now.
But make no mistake I'm outworking the 'fat shot' with 8-10 workouts a week. And I will stop taking it in February(started July 6, 2025).

The shots are not designed to be used short term. They impact brain chemistry by affecting neurotransmitters like dopamine, altering reward pathways, reducing cravings, and influencing mood, potentially causing a "flat affect" or apathy in some users, while also impacting gut microbiome and nutrient levels which indirectly affect mental well-being. It normalizes people taking these medications normalized compared to the general population. That does not change with weight loss. Their doctors should know this and keep them on the medications permanently. The fact you know so many people coming off the meds is shocking.
