He got a chance with the whole country watching to make some big plays!

And he stepped up and had two key catches.

Was that the correct call? Looks like Buffalo got fricked over.

Couple weeks ago NFL ruled this was a completion and it’s not even close to the Cooks play.

And they defended it to the media.
https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/nfl-says-aaron-rodgers-completed-the-catch-process-was-down-by-contact

So they either lied then or they lying now.

In order to have a catch in football the criteria are:

Control of the ball
2 feet in bounds
A football move
Survive the ground

He has 2 of the 4 total.

Yes he controls the ball and is in bounds but there's no football move and you can't say he survives the ground because he doesn't have it when he gets up.

From a defensive standpoint, the ball never touches the ground so if there's no catch based on not all criteria being met, it's like snatching up a ball that's bobbled by a receiver who never fully had possession.

You wanna say catch and down by contact but without a football move not all elements are there.

The Rodgers call was wrong.

Cooks has been a disaster since leaving that first Saints stint. He was traded to NE because he complained Brees couldn't get him the ball. Then got knocked out in the Super Bowl against the Eagles. Then got traded to the Rams and was involved in a game sealing pick against the Patriots in another SuperBowl. Now goes to Buffalo and allows the refs to screw the Bills because he has weak hands.

He has not been the same since Goodell took away his bow and arrow.

extend the ball forward, take an additional step, tuck the ball away and turn upfield, or avoid or ward off an opponent

Yeah, I'm just not sure how Cooks is supposed to perform a "football" move when he's on his back and the defender is allowed to strip the ball from him. Hips, back, knee hits ground but he's not down? Sounds like another $hit call by the refs.

An NFL VP came out and said the call was right. Can’t trust anything they say.

All that game showed me is that nobody knows what a catch is in the NFL including the refs and the NFL. at least it wasn't the saints getting screwed this time

That Josh Allen fumble before the half sure looked like he was playing hot potato.
