sending 34 total troops to Greenland.
Such a show of force.
Such a show of force.

Troops from several European countries deployed to Greenland and are on the ground there Thursday for a quick two-day mission to bolster the territory’s defenses.
France, Germany, Sweden and Norway are participating in the exercise, Fox News has learned. Leaders say the mission is meant to demonstrate they can deploy military assets "quickly."
The development comes as the Trump administration is pushing to acquire the Danish territory. Germany deployed a reconnaissance team of 13 personnel, France sent 15 mountain specialists and Sweden, Norway and Britain sent three, two and one officers, respectively, according to Reuters.

Good Lord. A 2-day mission? Hell, that's not even a long weekend.

Europe deploys troops to help Denmark defend Greenland from the United States.
Germany - 13
France - 15
Norway - 2
Britain - 1
Total US troops on the Pituffik Space Base in Greenland ~ 150
This is so embarrassing for the EU with a population of 450mil.

Wait til we offer each resident $100k and they get to vote on it. It’ll pass over 90%

What is the US still paying the bill for these asshats?
The US provide 16% of the total allied defense spending for NATO.
Direct contributions (i.e. $800 Million annually)
and 2/3 of military supplies
Indirect contributions (i.e. Military hardware, electronic warfare, and support)
I'm sick of hearing about NATO pointing its fricking finger at the US and saying "There's the bad guy. Watch out for the bad guy"

They didn’t want to have to pack more than 6 cases of Chardonnay.

This is a chance for Sweden and Norway to beat up some Germans. The French troops will stay neutral.

What a joke.
The irony is this “force” is more than they would muster if Russia or China showed up to take the island. Greenlanders should take note. You can be defended by the most powerful military on earth… or put your trust in these EU also-rans.

I like the plan of giving them 100k each and we make it back with the resources they have.
Gives the finger to the Danes, we protect our sovereign nation and life moves on.
