And it seems like more & more women are refereeing now days. All that I’ve noticed are Line Judge, but how much longer before we see Umpire, or Head Referee? And are they actually better than their male counterparts, or is this just another gov’t experiment?

No, they are worse. Good call/bad call stats were leaked last year and they on average were all worse than their male counterparts.

If that’s the case, I’m surprised the SEC hasn’t gone to all-female crews.

Better question: name one thing where this is true?

Was seniority/tenure taken into account? They’re all relatively new.

They have slower reaction time and don’t process information as fast. This is proven, no need for an experiment.

The way the two announcers were talking up the kicker before that last FG, I just knew he was going to "Doink" it, and he did.

The dreaded "Announcer's Curse" has struck again.

It’s hard to see how someone could get a decent feel for officiating sport that they have never played at any level.

I have no doubt I would be a very shitty ice hockey ref no matter how much I studied how to do so. ETA, Admittedly, not the best example because you actually need a specific athletic skill to do this, unlike most others, but it’s just the one major American team sport I’ve never played at any level.

All their calls seem emotional and penalties irrational.

I also wonder what level of play they started out their refereeing career in compared to the men. I would bet money they started out much higher than the men.
