I can offer this, did an all day sit today in the HNF at what should be rut central. Zip. Saw one coming in predawn and one coming out after dark. Also saw a 2 year old buck fast crossing the road on the drive out. Conclusion - action seems to be happening in the dark until we get another cold front.

I don't mind it. Saving hella money on propane tanks for my little buddy heater.

I feel like this has been one of if not the warmest fall/winters I can remember.

Not bad for fishing. Caught 50 bass over 3lbs last weekend.

I enjoyed the hell out of it for a week during the holidays. I left rainstorm after rainstorm back home and came home to….more storms.

Makes me not even want to hunt. I’m going to force myself to go next weekend then I’m chilling for 4 to 6 weeks before turkey season.

It’s got the fish messed up also. Can catch them in 40 feet of water or right on the bank

Tons of shrimp in the cast net and smoking the black drum in the deep spots off the bank.

It is not fun.

Without the doubt the warmest winter.

That’s awesome! I purposefully did not provide location. Wish I could post pics it’s a pain in the butt

I am hoping the rain holds off this evening so I can get back out there. It's nice having a good fishing spot, on land, like 4 miles from the house.

I was outside frying fish in shorts and flip flops last night. But it's supposed to start snowing in the early morning hours tonight and continue all day tomorrow.

Forecast for SW Mississippi has rain starting about midnight tonight and not ending until 7 a.m. Saturday morning. The high temp for Saturday is supposed to be 70 deg. at 5 am and then falling all day.

Hopefully the bucks are hungry and horny Saturday morning.....

I was with someone that got a 12 with a bow last week and it was 72. If it's 102 and does are estrus - it's on.

Hopefully, the temperature change on Sunday and Monday will get them on their feet.
