Levitt has been in town for like 3 days and was in public with Kiffin. Now all of a sudden we are leaning towards a different qb?? What went wrong, levitt is definitely the better option.

He was clearly dragging his feet using LSU as leverage until Oregon plays and makes their decision on their QB. Seems obvious at this point. LSU got tired of it and isn't stupid. They were probably offering him a more than fair 5 million+. If you're not taking that you're clearly using us as leverage especially knowing you're under a Kiffin offense. Couldn't be anymore obvious.

The Williams news just came about today and Leavitt clearly never committed or signed anything.

Seems like Leavitt was playing games thinking he had the leverage and it backfired.

Levitt is injured and his rehab is an unknown. He also seems to be dragging his feet looking at every option which is his right. Williams is healthy and is ready to start working right away.

Demond Williams is on several Heisman watchlist for 2026. He’s better than Leavitt and doesn’t have a major injury that could affect future play

His brother (is his agent) and is behind all this drama

I haven’t watched either play but the portal rankings have Leavitt at #1 and Williams at #6. Hell, I’d take either one

based on what.

Williams could be Kyler Murray.

Leavitt is not near the playmaker

Every time a family member is the negotiator it ends up being a shite sandwich for the kid playing the sport....

This is exactly why LSU didn't have SL as their #1. He was a better prospect than Sorsby but because of his brother and injury he was LSU's #2. They tried dragging their feet when we need a QB now and seems to have went completely backwards for them.

Idk what the hell they were watching, but Williams should be the no doubt #1 the moment he re entered the portal. Dude is electrifying and would wreck shite under Kiffin at LSU.

Don’t discount that LSU’s medical report came back not encouraging. So Lane said “Look, in light of the injury and the uncertainty if you can start for us against Clemson, our offer is 3.5 million.”

This is the least sleep I’ve gotten in LSU football’s offseason ever.

Is there a source on the medical report?

My favorite football player ever (Cam) had a lisfranc injury and he missed an entire calendar year and was never really the same. I would have assumed he wouldn’t be ready for opening night anyways, but confirmation would be helpful.

Not what went wrong, something went really, REALLY right! This kid is a 5” shorter JD5 but still has the arm and leg talent.
