Area 6
50° N wind
28 nosler

Went home Friday afternoon to wash clothes, fill up my water jugs for the camper, and get my bow. Made it back this morning and got set up for the last day of rifle. I’ll be bow hunting at least most of the week. It’s gonna warm up so I may head home for a couple more days.
In my saddle on the corner of 2 pieces of private. Still haven’t filled a tag, so a decent buck will get it this morning.
Good luck!

Finally convince my 7 year old daughter to make a morning hunt. She wakes right up make our way from mccomb to the camp hop on the side by side get to the stand right at gray light. 4 deer about 150 yards down the power line. I see them as I am climbing in. By the time I got her set up and gun loaded they gone. 10 minutes later spike crosses about 60 yards quick she never had a chance. Think she might have another 20-30 minutes left in her.
This is only her 5th hunt ever.

Good luck!
I saw a little 6pt and a doe this morning. Climbed down at 10, grabbed my kayak, and planned to kayak to the end of this lake then head into the woods. It’s so dry that once I got toward the end of the lake, it got too shallow to even kayak. However, the banks of the lake are tore up with big rubs and tons of tracks. A lot of the tracks look like running tracks too. I’m guessing the bucks have been running does back and forth through here. I set up on the ground, tucked into a group of button willows on the bank. I have a good feeling about it.
