What if everyone stopped buying insurance?

Prices would inevitably come down across the board.
Companies could no longer inflate prices for everything knowing they will not be able to charge 10x the value of something due to insurance picking up the bill.
If nobody had insurance, roofing companies would not be charging 15k for a new roof. Most people can't afford that out of pocket
Same thing with medical procedures, car issues, etc

Good luck not having the government strongarm you from doing any major interaction.

The only reason the cost of college has exploded is because of subsidies through government, lotto, or other means.

You have gotten the memo… the government will step in and force it Of If I forgot. They already do that.

I’m not scared. Live a very risk adverse life.
Haven’t had home insurance for the last four years. Never made a claim before that.
Have had bare minimum liability car insurance to be legal for the last 20 years. Zero claims.
I haven’t been to a doctor in 30 years.

If you have a mortgage, the lender will place a force placed policy on you, and cover only the amount of the loan. You will have no choice in this.

If you have a mortgage, the bank will just take one out for you at about 2x what you’d pay on the open market.
Do it for car insurance, and make sure you don’t ever get pulled over, have an accident, or travel through a jurisdiction where they check plates against insurance coverage. Also, good luck renewing your license at the DMV/OMV
Health insurance you’ll just have to get all treatment at the ER and play the “it won’t hit my credit report” game and/or just make extreme minimal payments

So you like living one distracted split second away from bankruptcy right?
I mean , Hey GMan, nothing's happened in the last 20 years so that guarantees the next 20 won; t be a problem either right?

Didn’t you steal from Academy? That’s typically the type of person that carries minimum car insurance.

He's the exact opposite of risk-averse. He's also a compulsive liar who role plays on the OT
