with the money they have, we can automatically assume they will also be considering and pursuing just about every athlete that we are.

Texas Tech doesn't have enough legit NIL that will pass the clearinghouse to pay all the players they're going after. Pretty sure they're in fake it till they make it mode.

They couldn’t even compete. That was a 1/9/12-level offensive effort. They got their arse kicked.

Didn’t we beat them in the portal last year and just went 7-6?

Joey McGuire isn’t really a good coach. He was on track to be a HS lifer as a coach. That’s fine and all, but there are levels to this. Tech has never tasted real success in 100 years of Football outside of like 2 seasons. They are going to go balls to the wall the next year or two before some more regulations come down. It makes for a nice story, but Tech buying a huge roster and then using said roster against a shite Big 12, dominating it, then getting dog walked by a true contender is what will continue to happen.

Texas Tech plans 28 million on transfer class alone

It’s widely known that Texas Tech will be big spenders

We have a new coaching staff. I don’t know where you have been but just giving you the heads up since you seem ill-informed.

They can be big spenders, that's all fine and dandy. But, it'll be spread across a bunch of players at fair market value, as determined by the clearinghouse. What they can't do, is just drop a bigger bag on every top prospect, no matter how much money they have. Which, means that every major program with "real money" will be able to compete with them for every one of those top prospects.

Another thing they absolutely can't do, is compete when it comes to facilities, history and realistic chances to win national championships. That's why they didn't ever "win the portal" even when they could drop the biggest bags.

You guys crack me up. Y’all need to wake up and understand there is a new reality in college football. First off, Texas Tech does have state of the art facilities. Not all colleges have them but there are more out there than you think. History no longer matters. These kids no longer care about the “Prestige” of playing for XYZ school. And as far as realistic chances..just take a look at Indiana. Three years ago would anyone on Earth have ever say they had a chance, yet here we are and they very well may take it all.
Every school will empty there coffers each year and “buy” a team, LSU included. It will come down to who buys the right players not necessarily the biggest names. Yes we will see a lot of the same names every year but not with the same frequency as in past and there will be many more teams come out of no where to win championships.

Type in Double Eagle Oil company. Two former TX Tech players that have sold several oil companies over the past 10 years for billions each time. These fellas want to win and have the resources to do compete with anyone from TX TX AM Oregon etc.
